Flaxseed is high in fiber and omega-3 fatty acids. Including these small brown seeds in your diet can help reduce your total blood cholesterol and LDL cholesterol levels. You can buy raw flaxseed in bulk at many grocery stores and health food stores. At home, grind the seeds in a coffee grinder or food processor, and stir a spoonful into yogurt or cereal. It's just that easy.
