Diabetes Prevention

Are you at risk for developing diabetes? You may be, if you have been told that your are:
  • A “borderline” diabetic or “prediabetic”
  • Insulin resistant
  • Glucose intolerant
  • Glucose tolerance impaired
Other factors that may put you at risk include a history of:
  • Diabetes in your family
  • Gestational diabetes or having a baby weighing more than 9 poounds
  • Not getting enough brisk exercise – at least 45 minutes 3 times per week
  • Being overweight or carrying a large proportion of body fat around your waist
  • High blood pressure, high triglycerides, and/or low HDL cholesterol
  • Asian, Hispanic, African, Native American, or Pacific Island heritage

Come to this FREE, one-time class that will teach you how to make a few simple changes that can slow or prevent progression towards diabetes.

Held in January, April, July & October
Daytime 1:00 to 3:00 pm or Evening 6:00 to 8:00 pm
