The radiologists at Bay Area Hospital are board-certified professionals, with specialized training to ensure accurate interpretation of your images.

Michael E. Stoll, MD, PhD


Michael E. Stoll, MD, PhD, earned a bachelor’s degree in physics from the University of Illinois, graduating with High Honors and Highest Distinction. He then earned master’s and doctoral degrees in applied physics at the California Institute of Technology, before graduating from the University of Miami School of Medicine. 
 
Dr. Stoll completed an internship at San Joaquin General Hospital in Stockton, Calif., and a residency in diagnostic radiology at Oregon Health & Science University. He is certified by the American Board of Radiology and is a member of the Oregon Medical Association, the American College of Radiology, and the Radiological Society of North America.

His radiology practice emphasizes musculoskeletal and neurological MRI, as well as CT-guided biopsies and drainages. 


Barbara A. Michaelis, MD


Barbara A. Michaelis, MD, is a board-certified radiologist with a special emphasis on ultrasound, mammography, and breast biopsies. She performs minimally invasive breast biopsies with ultrasound and stereotactic guidance.
 
Dr. Michaelis earned a bachelor’s degree in marine biology at McGill University, followed by a master of science in radiation biology at Oregon State University. She later graduated from the State University of New York at Syracuse College of Medicine, where she also completed an internship in internal medicine and a residency in diagnostic radiology.
 
She is certified by the American Board of Radiology. She is a member of the Oregon Medical Association, the American College of Radiology, and the Radiological Society of North America.

Tien Ahn Wee, MD


Tien Ahn Wee, MD, is a board-certified radiologist with a professional emphasis on cross-sectional imaging. In addition to certification by the American Board of Radiology, he is a member of the Oregon Medical Association, the American College of Radiology, and the Radiological Society of North America.
 
Dr. Wee earned a bachelor’s degree in biology at Columbia University. He then graduated from the Columbia University School of Medicine. He served an internship in internal medicine at the University of Hawaii, followed by a residency in diagnostic radiology at the University of California, Davis. He then completed a fellowship at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center, specializing in magnetic resonance imaging.


Brian Flanagan, DO

Dr. Flanagan earned his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from A.T. Still University, Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed a residency at Michigan State University, an affiliate of Beaumont Health, Michigan’s largest health care system. Dr. Flanagan then completed a fellowship at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, specializing in body imaging with a special emphasis on non-vascular procedures.
