Our nurses, many of whom are certified, work closely with physicians and a multidisciplinary team, including physician assistants, dietitians, ancillary staff and the pharmacy, Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy departments to provide you with the highest quality care.
Our staff is highly trained in postoperative and orthopedic care, continually demonstrating competency in the latest evidence-based practices. Education and competencies are tracked and developed by our orthopedic-certified staff educator. Our medical staff consists of highly skilled board-certified Orthopedic surgeons, Internists and Family Practice Physicians. Bay Area Hospital orthopedic surgeons provide services in various specialties such as total joint replacements and spine procedures.
To maintain the highest standard of care and staff satisfaction, our orthopedic unit has regularly scheduled unit-based practice council meetings, which consist of multidisciplinary staff. For the last six years Bay Area Hospital has offered patients and their families and caregivers a free preoperative education class, for those who plan to undergo total joint replacement.
